HAOLIN WANG
STATEMENT OF INTENT
I am an illustrator drawn to storytelling through image-making. My work explores character, mood, and narrative—often blending observation with imagination. I aim to create visuals that spark curiosity and emotion, using both traditional and digital tools to shape a style that feels expressive and adaptable.
Studying illustration offers a chance to grow technically and conceptually, and to engage with a wider creative community. I hope to build a career where I can bring ideas to life across editorial, branding, or entertainment contexts—always with the goal of connecting people through visual storytelling.
Let me know if you want to include anything about your cultural background, specific inspirations, or future goals!
PORTFOLIO
The works created during the transition from the first to the second semester of Artcenter's FYI (First Year Immersion Program) include conceptual works, illustration works, storyboards, and graphic designs.
